SAD NEWS FROM OUR LABEL STORE DARKMERCH

Sometimes new regulations hit the smallest players the hardest.

Due to the new PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) requirements, we are unfortunately forced to stop shipping darkMerch orders to most EU countries.

For an independent label and niche mailorder like us, complying with the different obligations connected to packaging across Europe has become a burden we simply cannot reasonably carry.

This hurts.

darkMerch was built to bring music and merchandise from the alternative underground directly to the people who support it. Every CD, vinyl, shirt and package we send helps independent artists, our label, and the scene around us survive and grow.

We will continue shipping to:
- Germany
- France
- United Kingdom
- Switzerland
- and all other countries outside the EU

Unfortunately, for the time being, shipping to the remaining EU countries has to be suspended. We're working on solutions to ship again to more EU countries, but it takes time to manage it properly.

Regulations designed for a huge market can have very real consequences for small independent businesses. For niche labels and mailorders, additional registrations, administration and costs can quickly become disproportionate to the number of packages we actually send to individual countries.

We are incredibly sorry to all our customers and supporters affected by this. We wish we could keep sending our releases and merchandise across the entire EU as before.
