Extize
Biography
In the shadowy depths of the electronic music abyss, a phenomenon unlike any other emerged – a bizarre fusion of dark music and twisted humor. EXTIZE is like a UFO soaring high above the gothic electronic scene.
Born from the unique vision of frontman Rapha Hell, EXTIZE crash-landed onto the music scene in 2007 with all the subtlety of a chainsaw-wielding maniac in a moonlit cornfield. Originally founded as the world’s first Cybergoth band, their sound has constantly evolved, leading to the creation of their very own genre: Dirt-E-Tronic – a raw, high-energy fusion of electro-industrial and unexpected genre influences. With 9 studio albums, 1 remix album, 1 audio book in German and English, and 7 EPs, EXTIZE has solidified its place in the alternative music scene. They have performed at Europe’s biggest festivals, including M’era Luna Festival, Wave-Gotik-Treffen, Amphi Festival, Castle Party Festival, European Dark Dance Treffen, and have toured Germany with the gothic pioneers PROJECT PITCHFORK.
Their latest album, "DeLorean 666", is a musical time travel through the history of music. Each track merges the essence of a specific musical era with EXTIZE’s signature electro-industrial sound. This sonic rollercoaster makes stops across various epochs – from the Celtic sounds of ancient times to medieval hymns, 80s synthwave, and even dystopian cyberpunk from the future. Imagine "Redneck Industrial", an unholy fusion of country twang and bone-crushing industrial beats – as if Leatherface had traded his chainsaw for a synthesizer. Or "Anarchy Engineers", a dystopian cyberpunk scenario where man and machine merge in a dance of digital anarchy. "DeLorean 666" takes this concept to the next level, transforming every era into an electronic rebellion.
But don’t be fooled by their macabre melodies and twisted tales – EXTIZE brings the bizarre humor of French farce to the forefront. These friendly aliens indulge in a hearty dose of self-derision and dark humor, proving that even in the darkest of nights, a laugh can be as piercing as a scream. In their musical universe, EXTIZE defies categorization. One moment, you’re knee-deep in the rusted gears of industrial cacophony; the next, you’re soaring through the neon-lit skies of futurepop, only to plummet into the abyss of acid darkwave. It’s a sonic carnival of horrors that’s impossible to predict – like a zombie outbreak at a rave party. But make no mistake, dark souls: EXTIZE is more than just a musical spectacle – they are the ultimate dark electronic party band your blackened hearts have been longing for. They beckon you to join their wickedly entertaining dance of the damned, where French humor meets Gothic despair and the party never ends.
So when you see that UFO in the festival lineup, don’t run for cover – embrace the madness, join the revelry, and let EXTIZE take you on a spine-tingling journey through the twisted corridors of their musical minds. In the world of dark electronic music, they are the true MonStars – and with "DeLorean 666", you’re invited to the most electrifying time-traveling experience the alternative scene has ever seen.
