Hailing from Montreal – and having made their live debut at no less an event than Kinetik 5 in their hometown – for 2012 debut album “Total Nihilism” Canadian trio Nitro/Noise took the sound palette of songwriter Clutch’s former band DETROIT DIESEL plus equal parts NACHTMAHR and COMBICHRIST with some guitars and bass thrown in for good measure, topping them off with the gruff vocal tones of Clutch’s cousin Kold.

Including the massive international club hits “Synchronised Beat F**k” and “Built For War”, and leading them to be described as “an industrial leviathan that rages wildly, taking no prisoners with epic melodies, brutal electronic beats and songwriting with the deadly precision of a sniper rifle”, “Total Nihilism” was eagerly snapped up for sublicensing by NoiTekk for Europe and Vendetta for North America. Within just the first two years of Nitro/Noise’s existence the trio had already been remixed by and shared the stage with bands such as SUICIDE COMMANDO, SITD, COMBICHRIST and NACHTMAHR, undertaken their first US tour…and even had their first vinyl release as “Total Nihilism” spawned the 3-track 12″ single of album tracks reworked specifically for the dancefloor “Rebuilt For Clubs”.

The stunning second album “No Cure for Apocalypse” (2014) is a record that not only lives up to the promise of “Total Nihilism” but goes greatly beyond it. No nonsense, no mercy, “No Cure For Apocalypse” is simply 10 relentless anthems for the end of days – as uncompromising and unstoppable as the Armageddon it suggests we all deserve – topped off with a collaboration with long-time champion of the band Thomas Rainer/NACHTMAHR, and an atmospheric coda. Launched as a 2CD special edition littered with such luminaries of the industrial scene as MODULATE, FGFC820, GRENDEL and ROTERSAND as remixers, Nitro/Noise took “No Cure…” on tour to Europe, playing a series of dates across the continent from the UK to Holland, Finland and Russia.

Currently composing their 3rd full length release, this young Canadian trio are already well on their way to establishing themselves as a leading light of the next generation of industrial music with their always-evolving, always-heavy sound. Are you ready to be Synchronised?
